Tier's Comments:
· Wind on four turns of fine lead wire on the shank, cut and crush in spiky ends
· Whip about 1/8 of the shank from the eye
· Slide wire up to thread and secure it with cross binding
· Continue whipping down shank to bend and tie in three springs of crystal and 4cm of gold tinsel
· Wind on green dubbing forming a tapered body up to the lead thorax
· Rib the body with 4 turns of tinsel, secure with thread behind the thorax and trim off excess
· Apply varnish to the lead thorax and tie in a strand of peacock hurl
· Twist hurl round tying thread and make four or five turns round the thorax, secure in front of the lead and trim off excess
· Build up a small head with thread and tie off.
· Trim crystal to form a short tail.
