- White biot (or pearl crystal flash)
Tail:
- Orange or red goose biot (or sprig of holographic wrapping tape)
Tier's Comments: - Variants: a gold bead head and/or a leaded body.
· Whip thread down shank starting 1/8 distance from eye · Tie in tail and ribbing · Tie in two peacock hurls and twist them around the thread · Wind the hurl rope around the body and stop about 1/8 distance from eye. Tie off and trim the excess. · Wind the tinsel forward in the opposite direction to the hurl and tie off · Tie in the wings (or crystal flash) and then hackles · Wind the thread to build up a small conical head · Tie off with whip finish. Black varnish.
