Tier's Comments:     -     This seat trout fly pattern is a favourite in West Wales, and works best in low and medium flows.   It was originally tied as a salmon fly with a golden pheasant tag and a white silk but. The wings are traditionally tied with hen pheasant tail, but I prefer the softer owl wing.   This pattern caught me a 3lb seatrout on the Mawddach in bright sunlight and very low water two years ago.
