Bold, made from thread over body floss ends and varnished

Cock hackle fibres dressed beard style.

Tier's Comments: - The method of weaving the body can produce a dark dorsal and light ventral surface, depending upon the colours chosen, eg green/yellow, brown/green, brown/yellow. A deeply curved shrimp hook can enable this fly to swim point up, but makes it trickier to dress!
